Victims First Volunteer Advocate

Provide support via telephone and have face to face engagement with victims of crime in their own home or in an agreed location.

Be a listening ear and provide emotional support and care, based on the individual needs of victims.

As an Assertive Advocacy & Support Worker (Sexual Violence) you will work to ensure that the voices of sexual violence victims are heard within the criminal justice system and that individual victims are aware of and able to access all of their entitlements in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice.

As a Domestic Abuse and Criminal Justice System Liaison Worker with Victims First Northumbria you will be responsible for providing support to the police and domestic abuse workers to ensure children and vulnerable adults are safeguarded.
